The Reports of the Board of Trustees series contains annual informational pamphlets issued by the trustees which were addressed to the cemetery’s lot owners. The pamphlets summarize the business conducted by the cemetery over the course of the year and include a list of the then-current board members at Green-Wood; provide an overview of the cemetery’s financial records; and provide information on changes or improvements made to the grounds that year. More detailed financial reports—including itemized expense lists, employment records, and funds for ongoing lot maintenance—are found at the end of each pamphlet. From 1913 onward, recent photographs of cemetery landmarks are also included.
Arrangement is chronological. Although the series is primarily made up of printed pamphlets, Box 5, Folder 7 also contains draft material and correspondence with the printer from 1926, and Box 8, Folder 12 contains draft material from 1976. The number of extant copies for each pamphlet is noted on the container list.
