This series contains printed pamphlets of the by-laws of Green-Wood Cemetery, which outline the procedures and regulations under which the board of trustees should operate. The pamphlets were regularly updated, and are organized by the year in which each particular version was printed. In many cases, the pamphlets have been further updated through the insertion of typewritten amendments, presumably to incorporate changes to the by-laws before a new version was printed.
The series also contains the 1917 pamphlet of Green-Wood's act of incorporation and the amendments made to it up to that point. Like the by-laws, the act of incorporation includes details on the correct regulations and procedures for governing the cemetery, though in this case it is presented in the form of the original Green-Wood corporate charter.
