Scope and Contents of the Materials
This collection includes two binders from Henry Restoration Ltd. The first binder pertains to the cleaning of the Henry J. Raymond Monument and a letter regarding on-site inspection from Bresnan Architects P.C. Also included are photos of the monument along with a periodical from the restoration company describing their restoration and cleaning techniques.
The second binder includes a request for a proposal, for the cost and work time frame for the restoration of the General Henry Warner Slocum Monument. Three color photographs of the site, a brief bio, an article depicting Slocum's military service and two articles depicting other restoration projects completed by the company are also in this packet.
This binder also contains a Conservation Treatment Report for the statue, "Civic Virtue", dated June 21, 2013, pertaining to its installation, cleaning and restoration. The report was prepared by Krellic Conservation LLD.
A proposal for restoration of the William Wheatly Monument is in the final folder as well as correspondence and a proposal for restoration work, a description of exising conditions and recommendations for restorative works. There are also technical Specifications for The Main Entrance Gate, Gatehouses and Wood Door among these materials.

- The Conservation Treatment Report for "Civic Virtue" (1920) was written by Frederick MacMonnies. It was prepared for the Department of Administrative Services for the City of New York. The report includes a description of the sculpture, the condition of the statue before and after treatment, photos of the monument before treatment and after treatment, the relocation of the statue, recommended maintenance and products and materials used in the treatment process.
